Kalmar Pension - Villa on Gellért Hill

Pension Kalmar is located in the villa built by Count Pál Teleki, Prime Minister, in the early 1900's, on the south-eastern slope of the Gellért Hill. The Danube and the Gellért Bath are about 300 meters away from the villa. The area is one of the most elegant areas in Budapest, surrounded by historical villas and embassies.

Walking across the Liberty Bridge, you will reach the historical and commercial center of Budapest (Market Hall, Kálvin Square, National Museum, Váci street). The center can also be reached by public transportation easily: the stops of bus 7 and trams 47/49 are all within walking distance of the pension. Bus 7 takes you to the Astoria, Blaha Lujza square. Tram 47/49 takes you to Deák square, where the three metro lines meet).

The building is surrounded by a nice garden, which is available for our guests to enjoy. The remains of the carriage ramp built for the visit of Kaiser Joseph Ferdinand to the Teleki family is still visible.

In the villa, all rooms are unique in terms of size and location within the building. Some rooms have shower and some have a bathtub. All rooms are equipped with antique furniture and a high ceiling. All rooms are air-conditioned, has SAT-TV, telephone, minibar and WiFi.

You can take a look at the names of our famous guests from Europe and the U.S. in our guestbook.

Be our guest and enjoy the unique historical travel!
